Please watch for lane closures and shifting traffic patterns along Minnesota Ave, NE due to roadway reconstruction as follows:
DDOT will temporarily close lanes and shift the traffic pattern in the Minnesota Ave, NE and Benning Rd, NE intersection for roadway reconstruction and paving. Marked detours will be in place as needed during construction. This activity will run continuously from Friday, 6:00 pm through Sunday, 7:00 pm
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas, anticipate moderate delays, and be mindful of pedestrians and construction personnel
(Washington, DC)— The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes and shift traffic patterns on Minnesota Ave, NE and Benning Road NE. The following closures and traffic shifts will be in place Monday, July 8, 2019 through Friday, August 16, 2019, weather permitting
Minnesota, NE southbound from Hunt Pl, NE to Gault Pl, NE. Temporarily close the right lane and shift the traffic pattern. One lane of traffic in each direction will be available at all times. This activity will run continuously behind barricades from 7:00 am through 7:00 pm
Minnesota Avenue Metro Station parking lot. Temporarily close parking lot for reconstruction
This work is a part of the ongoing Minnesota Avenue Phase II Rehabilitation Project and is required for roadway reconstruction.
Pedestrians and motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel.

The reconstruction project limits are from Dix St, NE to Sherriff Rd, NE on Minnesota Av, NE. This work is a continuation of the work completed in Phase I which ran from East Capitol Street to Dix St, NE.
